Care: Joy & Justice - Abolitionist Teaching
'Joy and Justice' is a interactive mini series that will feature discussions with leaders from the Illinois Education Association's Racial & Social Justice and Human Civil Rights committees and explore the transformative power of abolitionist teaching and practice. The facilitators will be joined by current and former leaders of the IEA Human and Civil Rights Committee, including NEA Director Karen Moore and Adriana Caballero, as well as the Director of the IEA Racial & Social Justice Department, Sherri Jones.
Course Facilitators: The sessions will be facilitated by IEA HCR members Susan Hudson and Liz Tibble.
Course Times and Dates: The sessions will be held on Thursdays, October 3, 17, 24 and Wednesday, November 6, all at 6-7:15pm CST. The sessions will be recorded and made available to participants.
