The Organizing Project is a four-part mini-course designed for K-12 educators who want to strengthen their leadership, deepen their community ties, and advance equity in schools. Across the sessions, participants will hear from inspiring educator-leaders and allies who are building inclusive classrooms and resilient communities. You’ll explore how to celebrate student passions as a tool for organizing, how to create multi-generational spaces of support for immigrant families, how to foster authentic relationships and equity “squads” that amplify missing voices, and how to stand together for the common good even in the face of opposition. With practical strategies, from running effective listening sessions to sustaining volunteer teams, this course equips educators with the tools and inspiration to lead positive change that uplifts every student. Join us to connect with peers, gain actionable organizing skills, and leave empowered to transform your school and community.
The Organizing Project mini-course gives you access to four amazing groups of educators, including educators from the Dream Centers of Los Angeles/Alhambra, the Passions Project from Racine, Wisconsin, the Ranier Educators of Color Network (RECN) and a regional team from the Illinois Education Association. Buckle up!
