This is an asynchronous, pre-recorded mini course that you can access at your own pace. You will still be able to receive a micro-credential with the submission of a implementation reflection.

Course Facilitators: Susan Hudson, Board Member of the Illinois Education Association and Ruby Dajani, Director of Education at Urban Initiatives

Course Description: Starting with a leadership self-assessment and a local context assessment, you will explore various educational leadership pathways alongside national experts, while learning and practicing the core competencies required to maximize your impact. Effective schools need effective leaders and effective leaders need support to grow their capacity and impact. You will have the chance to work alongside award winning educators and leaders including Dr. Tim Dohrer, former Principal of New Trier High School and recently retired Director of Teacher Leadership at Northwestern University, Laura Gonzalez, Illinois State Board of Education Board Member and current Classroom Educator and Debra Ward-Mitchell, National Education Association ESP of the Year.

Participants who register for both the Fall and Spring Leadership Pathways program will have the opportunity to implement a job embedded practicum project that will showcase your impact and growth as an educational leader. You will work with other emerging leaders while being exposed to national experts and coached by experienced educators.
